I was born, raised and currently live in Colorado. With the encouragement of family and friends, along with the gift of the artist-ability inherited from my great-grandmother, I have always kept a passion for drawing and creating. As far back as I can remember; I was drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil -- coloring and doodling; as well as creating things from clay, yarn and cardboard.
In August of 2004, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications and was awarded the "Graduate of the Term" and was made part of the ABK (Alpha Beta Kappa) Honors Society for Excellence and Integrity. I have always been very savvy with computers, and while obtaining this degree, I was offered a full-time position as a Desktop-Support Admin.
In July of 2009 I received another Bachelor’s degree for Information Systems Security, which has served well with the IT career path I have set before myself. For the past eleven years, I have worked from the ground-level of IT, up to the position of Senior Systems Manager of Infrastructure. Thankfully, throughout the entire time working in IT, I have continued to 'keep up' my abilities with the pencil, but admittedly; I have not produced as much as I would have liked to.
Either way, having a working-background in technology and a passion in art, I am able to construct my art with meticulous and scrupulous attention to detail; having intention for everything I put on paper, employing both the right and left brain.
As a fine-artist, I feel I explore a somewhat hybrid-type of artistic style with my exploration of creating portraits, psychedelic and abstract illustrations, sketches and a few paintings. I draw internal-inspiration from my family, friends, emotions, experiences, trials and tribulations alike. The art of Alex Grey, Salvador Dali along with many others and all music sources have been my external-inspiration influences; as well as many others.
