NICK DYMOND'S ART PORTFOLIO
A collection of my fine art and resin projects.
Here's a little about me, the artist.
I was born and currently live in the beautiful state of Colorado. With the encouragement and support of family and friends throughout life, along with the gift of the artist-ability inherited from my great-grandmother, I have always had a passion for drawing and creating.
With a dual-bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications and Information Systems Security, I work a full time job as a Virtualization Engineer -- which is a fancy way of saying Computer/Server Guy. Having a working-background in technology and a life-long passion with art and creating; I construct each piece of my art with meticulous and scrupulous attention to detail, employing both the right and left brain hemispheres.
With my girlfriend of 7 years, now fiancé, our small dog and 2 tuxedo cats, I'm just a simple dude with many, many interests. Some might say too many, at times.
In my free time and unplugged from the computer, I regain clarity, find my Center and my Zen when creating. I am able to disconnect from all of the things and focus on me, my thoughts and my creations. It is a healing method for my soul, being constantly inundated with technology for work.
I am my worst critic and am meticulous with my processes to get the best result. This, I apply to many aspects of life. When I get in the zone, I can lose hours to a single project. I put in anywhere from 15 to 160 hours in my pieces and I hope very much that each piece of work provides happiness, beauty and joy to those who view it. I put a piece of my heart and soul to each of my works.
I draw internal-inspiration from my family, friends, emotions, experiences, trials and tribulations alike. My wood pieces help give me their own inspiration, each being unique and having so much potential from the start!
I love exploring new ideas and I am always open to suggestions and entertaining custom requests. Please don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help!
I am truly thrilled to share my passion with you, this community and the world. A big THANK YOU to everyone who has given me their support!
